King returns home

His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday returned home from a three-day trip in Europe that took him to Spain and Switzerland.

In Madrid, the King and Spanish King Juan Carlos lauded bilateral ties as "historically longstanding and vigorous" and expressed their keenness to boost cooperation in the various domains.

King Abdullah also discussed with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero ongoing efforts to end the Palestinian-Israel conflict according to the two-state solution within a comprehensive regional context.

Discussions also centered on means to bolster Jordanian-Spanish cooperation ties.

In Davos, King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania attended the 40th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in the Swiss mountain resort from 27-31 January which brought together world's prominent political, economic and social figures.

The King, on the sidelines of the WEF, also met with CEOs of global information technology IT and telecom firms and took part in a conversation with CNN's Fareed Zakaria.
