King returns home

His Majesty King Abdullah II returned home on Saturday after a several-day visit that took him to Tanzania and South Africa.



During his visit, the King met with Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa and South African President Thabo Mbeki. Talks with the two leaders focused on ways of bolstering trade, economic and cultural ties as well as enhancing bilateral relations between Jordan and the two respective African countries. Means of enhancing African-Arab cooperation in facing global challenges were also discussed.



King Abdullah also met with former South African President Nelson Mandela during his stay in South Africa.
