His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday reiterated that economy in the era of globalization has become a priority concerning diplomats' work, that matter which requires rehabilitation of Jordanian embassies' role in order to support national economy and promote investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the first Jordanian Ambassadors Economic Forum, His Majesty announced granting an annual award for the best performance of Jordanian embassies on the economic level as of next year.

The 49 Jordanian missions abroad, should seek elimination of ignorance some countries have regarding Jordan's humanitarian and economic potentials, the matter which will open doors for investment attraction and helping implementation of social and economic transformation program, His Majesty said.

The King affirmed that such an "important" forum, is due to be held biannually in order to make the ambassadors familiar with the political and economic trends in the Kingdom, as well as the projects carried out, the matter which will help them play their role of supporting their country and people.
