His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour.

King Abdullah and Mullen discussed means to boost bilateral cooperation ties between Jordan and US.

Discussions also focused on military training and US military assistance to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, King Abdullah and the US official discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and efforts to push the peace process forward in order to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of a two-state solution.
