His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday stressed the importance of following up on the recommendations of the 19th Arab summit held in Riyadh last month.

During a meeting with a delegation of US congressional aides, King Abdullah highlighted Arab countries' unanimous decision to revive a five-year-old plan for peace with Israel and launch a diplomatic offensive to resolve the Middle East conflict.

The King underlined Jordan's efforts, in coordination with the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries, to relaunch the peace process, noting the need to make use of the international momentum.

His Majesty also stressed the importance of improving Palestinians' living conditions and alleviating their economic difficulties.
