His Majesty King Abdullah received on Wednesday Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The King offered his condolences to the Turkish diplomat over the loss of life in the earthquake that hit the eastern city of Ecris on Sunday and has so far killed over 400 people, reiterating Jordan’s support to help Turkey overcome this ordeal.
Regarding the situation in Syria, the King and the Turkish FM underlined that stability in the country is important for both Jordan and Turkey.
His Majesty and Davutoglu reviewed Jordanian-Turkish bilateral ties and means to enhance them.
Davutoglu commended Jordan’s reform process, voicing hope that the government succeeds in this endeavour. He also conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of President Abdullah Gul and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
