Syrian President Bashar Assad on Friday arrived in Amman for talks with His Majesty King Abdullah on ways to boost Jordanian-Syrian ties and current efforts to achieve a united Arab stance against the common challenges that face the Arab nation.

The two leaders will also discuss latest Mideast developments.

President Assad, who was received by the King at Marka Airport, is accompanied by Foreign Minister Walid Mu'alem.
