King Receives the Special Representative of the Iranian President

His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed on Tuesday Jordan's keenness to enhance its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields.



During his meeting with assistant Foreign Minister/ the Special Representative of the Iranian President Syed Muhammad Sader, the King expressed his satisfaction over the level of the cooperation relations between the two countries, stressing that relations will witness further development in the near future.



The King also received a message from Iranian President Muhammad Khatami in which the Iranian President expressed his appreciation and determination to enhance the Jordanian- Iranian ties in the political and economic fields.



During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of the Royal Court Samir Rifai, His Majesty noted that Prime Minister Faisal Fayez will pay a visit to Iran with a view to discuss cooperation relations between the two countries.



The King also delivered an invitation to the Iranian president Muhammad Khatami to visit Jordan. For his part, the Iranian official conveyed Khatami's thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah over standing by the Iranian people after the devastating earthquake that hit the Iranian city of Bam, noting to the efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital in Iran.



"We also convey the Iranian people's thanks to Queen Rania over visiting Bam city after the devastating quake" the Iranian official said.
