His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met with US Senator John Kerry who is on a visit to the Kingdom as part of a regional tour.

During the meeting, King Abdullah reviewed the efforts to overcome obstacles to Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations.

The King also underlined the importance of the US role in restarting serious and effective negotiations that proceed according to a clear agenda and a specific time frame and said that negotiations should address all final status issues.

In addition, mechanisms to foster bilateral ties were discussed during the meeting.
