King Receives Secretary General of the Islamic World Association

His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Monday the Secretary General of the Islamic World Association Dr. Abdullah Abdul Mihsin Al Turki who conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of the Saudi Monarch King Fahd and the Crown Prince Abdullah Ben Abdul Aziz.

During the meeting which was attended by Minister of Royal Court Faisal Al Fayez and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Hilayyel, His Majesty affirmed that the tolerance, moderation and openness of Islam to other cultures reflect the values of good and the principles of right and just which form the pillars of the message of Islam.

King Abdullah praised the strenuous efforts exerted by the IWA to present the right image of Islam and its humanitarian aim, indicating that these efforts form a distinguished initiative that would enhance the ideal principles of Islam, and concentrate on a call to thinking and rational dialogue in an a tolerated an moderated atmosphere.

The Secretary General of the IWA for his appreciated the efforts of His Majesty to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.

He also praised the King's wisdom and his relentless efforts to achieve peace and prosperity in the region.
