His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Sunday the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom within a tour to the region.

During the meeting, the King and Sultanov discussed the latest developments related to the Iraqi file as well as the situation in the Palestinian territories.

They also affirmed the importance of declaring the road map after the Israeli elections with a view to begin implementing its items and pave the way for ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.

The meeting was attended by chief of the Royal Court and the Russian ambassador in Amman.
