His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Fellowship from Professor Dame Carol Black, the president of the London-based college.
The King was presented the fellowship in recognition of his efforts to support the medical sector in the country and secure medical care for citizens.
RCP International Director Roger Williams, members of the college and its adviser in Jordan, Ziad Sharaiha, were also present at the meeting.
The King stressed Jordan's keenness on developing relations with the RCP and benefiting from its experience to develop the country's medical sector.
Dame Carol commended the advanced level of medical services in Jordan and the attention the King pays to children and youth, while Williams briefed His Majesty on the mission of the college and the services it offers.
