His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Monday President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Joseph Kabila who arrived in Amman Monday on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom.

President Kabila will discuss with His Majesty means of establishing ties of cooperation between Jordan and Congo especially in the economic field.

Kabila's visit to Jordan is the first visit to a Middle Eastern country since he assumed power last year.

Also receiving President Kabila were His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Ben Al Hussein, the prime minister, chief of the Royal Court, president of the Senate and other high ranking officials.

The Congolese president is accompanied by a number of ministers and high ranking Congolese officials.
