His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday issued instructions to send the necessary equipment to assist in extinguishing forest fires burning in various areas in Lebanon.
King Abdullah issued the instructions after receiving a telephone call from Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, seeking assistance to put out the blazes north of Beirut.
Hariri also extended sympathies over the loss of the King's maternal grandfather, Major General Walter Gardiner, who passed away in Amman last Wednesday.
During the phone call, King Abdullah and Hariri also discussed issues of mutual concern.
