His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received a phone call from Egyptian President Mohammad Mursi, who briefed King Abdullah on Egypt's efforts to support prospects for Palestinian reconciliation as well as efforts to resume peace.

The two leaders also discussed developments in the region, and means to enhance bilateral ties in various fields.

Thursday's phone call comes as part of continuous coordination and consultation between the King and the Egyptian president on reconciliation efforts, resumption of peace negotiations, regional developments, especially the situation in Syria, as well as means to enhance bilateral ties to serve joint interests.
