His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received a phone call from Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi congratulating him on the occasion of the Hijri New Year.

During the phone call the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation, especially economic ties, and the latest developments in the region, particularly the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza.

They also discussed efforts to overcome obstacles to the peace process.
