His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received a verbal message from Syrian President Bashar Assad on the latest developments in the region, efforts to bring about comprehensive and permanent peace in the Middle East and ways to coordinate the development of an effective Arab position.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem delivered the message to the King during a meeting on Monday.
