His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday congratulated former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohammad on the honorary doctorate he received from the University of Jordan (UJ).

During a meeting with Mahathir and his wife, King Abdullah praised Malaysia's rise to prosperity and the achievements made during Mahathir’s tenure as prime minister.

Royal Court Chief Khaled Karaki, the King’s Adviser for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh and UJ President Adel Tweisi, along with Malaysian Ambassador in Amman Dato' Abdul Malek Ben Abdul Aziz, attended the meeting.
