His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received a letter from newly appointed Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director General Major General Talal Abdullah Kofahi in which he expressed his gratitude for the King's confidence.

Kofahi, who was appointed CDD director on as of October 12, pledged to pursue the development and modernisation of the CDD, in line with King Abdullah's directives.

Also on Thursday, the King received a letter from former CDD Director General, Lt. General Abdullah Hamadneh expressing his gratitude for the King's confidence in him during his tenure as director general of the CDD.
