His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received a letter from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. General Mishal Al Zaben thanking the King for initiating the Military Credit Fund for the Jordan Armed Forces and Security Apparatus.

Zaben, who expressed his appreciation on behalf of Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) personnel and security agencies' directors and staff, highlighted King Abdullah's efforts to raise the standard of living for armed forces personnel.

The fund, launched last Thursday, will provide financing services for hoursing and other living expenses for JAF personnel and employees at security agencies. The initiative was announced during the JAF's annual iftar in honour of King Abdullah.

Zaben said the Royal makruma is in line with the King's commitment to improve the living conditions of military and security personnel, adding that the credit fund will offer housing and personal loans.
