His Majesty King Abdullah and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri on Wednesday underlined the strong ties between Jordan and Lebanon.

During a meeting with Hariri ًWednesday, King Abdullah stressed Jordan's support for Lebanon's security, stability and sovereignty, and expressed confidence in the Lebanese government's ability to enhance national unity and provide a better future for its people.

Discussions covered bilateral cooperation and means to activate ties, with both leaders expressing keenness to bolster relations in several fields.

King Abdullah and the Lebanese premier also discussed regional developments, particularly efforts to realise a comprehensive peace that ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on Palestinian soil, ends the Israeli occupation of occupied Lebanese and Syrian territories, and restores Arab rights in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Hariri expressed his appreciation to the King for Jordan's supportive positions on security and stability in Lebanon.
