His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday received Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri who visited Jordan as part of a regional tour to discuss and coordinate Arab positions ahead of his upcoming visit to the US.
During their meeting, King Abdullah and Hariri discussed the latest regional developments, particularly efforts to bring about peace based on Israel's withdrawal from occupied Arab territories and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
They also discussed bilateral ties and means to boost cooperation between the two countries. The King underlined the Jordan's full support for Lebanon's efforts to overcome challenges to its security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Samir Rifai, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, King's advisor Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and a number of Lebanese officials.
Hariri was received and seen off by Prime Minister Samir Rifai at the King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba.
