His Majesty King Abdullah met on Monday with Iraqi Vice President Tariq Hashemi and discussed bilateral relations and developments in the region.

During the meeting, the King stressed Jordan's commitment to Iraq's security, stability and unity, voicing support for its efforts to rebuild the country and solidify reconciliation between all segments of the community.

The King added that Iraq's stability is a main pillar of regional security.

Stressing his keenness to develop bilateral ties with Iraq in various fields, King Abdullah said Prime Minister Nader Dahabi's upcoming visit to Iraq will help develop bilateral relations and push them forward.

Hashemi, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the King's efforts in supporting Iraq and its issues.
