His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Saturday, at the Royal Hashemite Court, the Council of the Heads of Churches in Jordan and Palestine and congratulated them on the occasion of the Christmas.

The King expressed, during the meeting which was attended by Minister of the Royal Court Sameer Rifai, a number of King's advisors and members of the Jordanian Center for Interfaith Research, his congratulations for all Christians on this occasion, affirming that this occasion embodies the values of love, tolerance and peace.

For their part, Heads of the Council of the Churches expressed their appreciation for the Hashemite leadership and its keenness to embody values of coexistence between Muslims and Christians, hailing the efforts of His Majesty the King to restore just and comprehensive peace in the region.
