King receives head of Libyan National Transitional Council

His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday renewed Jordan’s support for the Libyan people in their pursuit of a better future.

During a meeting with Mustafa Abdel Jalil, the head of the Libyan National Transitional Council, King Abdullah stressed that Jordan will continue to provide humanitarian, medical and logistical assistance to the Libyan people to enable them to overcome current conditions and move into a new phase of security and stability.

Abdel Jalil briefed the King on the latest developments, voicing appreciation for the Kingdom’s support of the Libyan people.

Royal Court Chief Khaled Karaki, King’s Media Adviser Amjad Adaileh, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mishal Al Zaben attended the meeting.
