His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met with Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East peace process.

During the meeting, King Abdullah stressed the importance of European support for efforts to unblock direct peace negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.

The King noted that the resumption of the negotiations requires the cessation of all unilateral Israeli measures, foremost of which is settlement building.

The minister's visit to Jordan is part of a tour in the region that includes Palestinian territories, Egypt and Israel.
