King receives Grand Duke of Luxembourg

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received the Grand Duke of Luxembourg Henry Albert who is currently on a several-day official visit to the Kingdom.



During the meeting, the King discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations with Luxembourg and stressed the need for intensified efforts to combat terrorism.



The duke condemned the Nov. 9 triple suicide bombings on three of Amman's hotels and said the timing of his visit was aimed at expressing solidarity with the Kingdom.



King Abdullah also met with Luxembourg Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean Asselborn to discuss economic ties between the two countries.



They also discussed Jordan-EU relations, in addition to the recent political developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Iraq and efforts to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.
