His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday met with US Secretary of Defence Robert Gates, who is on a regional tour. During the meeting, discussions covered bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East. Also on Friday, the King discussed with US Central Command General James Mattis several issues of mutual concern.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Meshal Al Zaben attended the meeting.
