King receives French parliamentary committee

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday called on the international community to intensify efforts to realize Middle East peace and stability.

During a meeting with members of the Jordanian-French Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the French senate, led by Christian Kamrrman, King Abdullah stressed the importance of re-launching serious peace negotiations to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution and international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

King Abdullah also reviewed with the French delegation which comprised of Brigitte Bout, Jean-Pierre Michel and Sylvie Desmarescaux, means to boost cooperation between Jordan and France, particularly in the economic and parliamentary sectors. He also highlighting France's support for development projects in Jordan in the water, communications and mining sectors particularly.

The meeting was attended by Senate President Zeid Rifai, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi and King's Adviser Ayman Safadi.
