His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received a delegation from the French National Assembly headed by the Jordanian-French Friendship Committee president Gilbert Meyer.



Meyer delivered a message to His Majesty the King from French President Jacque Chirac on ways to cement bilateral ties and recent developments in the region.



During the meeting, attended by Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali, King Abdullah said Amman was keen to enhance its ties with Paris in all fields.



For his part, Gilbert voiced appreciation for Jordan's efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace in the region.
