King receives credentials of new ambassadors

His Majesty King Abdullah received the credentials of Philippine Ambassador Julius D. Torres on Tuesday.

Five other newly appointed ambassadors to Jordan also presented their credentials to the King on Thursday. They are Kenya's Daniel Ochieng Makdwallo, Malawi's Geoffrey Lufu James Mvula, Cyprus' Efstathios Orphanides, Guinea's Ibrahima Sory Traore and Iceland's Sverrir Haukur Gunnlaugsson.

The newly appointed ambassadors laid wreaths on the tombs of Their Majesties the late King Hussein, the late King Abdullah I and the late King Talal.

Royal Court Chief Bassem Awadallah and Minister of Foreign Affairs Salah Bashir were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
