King receives credentials of new ambassadors

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received the credentials of Czech Republic's Ambassador to Jordan Ivana Holoubkova.

Five other newly appointed ambassadors to Jordan also presented their credentials to the King today. They are Thailand's Isinthorn Sornvai, Ukraine's Diachenko Ihor, Libya's Mohammad Hussein Bargathi, Malta's Walid Khazen and Ghana's Rashid Bawa.

The newly appointed ambassadors laid wreaths on the tombs of Their Majesties the late King Hussein, the late King Abdullah I and the late King Talal.

The King's Office Director Bassem Awadallah and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul Ilah Khatib attended the ceremony.

Also on Tuesday, Jordan's ambassadors to Morocco, Sudan, Pakistan and Romania took their oath of office in the King's presence. They are Faisal Shobaki, Munther Qubaah, Saleh Jawarneh and Rasem Hashem respectively.

His Majesty also bestowed Al Istiqlal Medal of the First Order on the newly appointed ambassadors.

Royal Court Chief Salem Turk and Khatib were present at the swearing in ceremony.
