His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday received several cables from senior officials congratulating him on the 11th anniversary of his assumption of constitutional powers, celebrated on 7 February.

Senders expressed their pride in King Abdullah's efforts to develop Jordan in all sectors and lauded the King for also supporting the Arab nation's causes and reedom, justice and peace.

They also remembered the late King Hussein, who built modern Jordan and championed Arab causes throughout his five-decade reign.

King Abdullah received cables from Prime Minister Samir Rifai, Senate President Taher Masri, Chairman of the Higher Judicial Council Rateb Wazani, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Khaled Sarayreh and the directors of the General Intelligence Department, Public Security Department and the Civil Defence Department among other officials.
