King receives cables on the Karameh Battle anniversary

His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday received cables of allegiance and congratulations from several senior officials on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the Karameh Battle.

The cables were from Prime Minister Nader Dahabi, Public Security Department Director Major General Mazen Qadi, Gendarmerie Director Major General Tawfiq Halalmeh, General Intelligence Department Director Major General Mohammad Rathaan Raqqad and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff General Khaled Sarayreh, among others.

Senders of cables said the wise leadership of the late King Hussein Ben Talal and heroic sacrifices of Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) led to the astounding victory in the Karameh Battle.

They lauded the King's relentless efforts to achieve prosperity and security to Jordan and upgrade its army to be a shield against dangers.

They said the Karameh Battle is a true symbol of sacrifice and steadfastness in defending homeland, its dignity and Arab causes.
