His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Thursday cables of congratulations on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

The King received cables from president of the UAE Sheikh Zayed Ben Sultan Al Nhayyan, Egyptian President Mohammad Husni Mubarak, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Tunisian President Zein Al Abdeen Ben Ali, Syrian President Bashar Assad, Emir of Kuwait Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah and President of the Palestinian National Authority Yasser Arafat.

King also received cables from Uzbekistani President Islam Kremov and from high ranking Arab and Jordanian officials.
