King receives cables of condolences from world leaders over victims of Dead Sea accident

His Majesty King Abdullah has received cables from leaders of sisterly and friendly countries, in which they expressed condolences to His Majesty and the Jordanian people over last Thursday’s Dead Sea accident that claimed the lives of schoolchildren and a number of citizens as a result of flash floods.

King Abdullah received cables from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

His Majesty also received similar cables from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also deputy prime minister and minister of defence of Saudi Arabia; Deputy Emir of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani, United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
