His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received congratulatory cables on the occasion of his accession to the throne from a number of Arab and foreign leaders.

Senders wished King Abdullah continued good health and happiness and the people of Jordan further progress and prosperity.

The King also received cables from the prime minister, senate president, house speaker, chairman of Judicial Council, Chief Justice, Grand Mufti of Jordan, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, directors of public security, civil defense, general intelligence and gendarmerie, senior officials and citizens.
