His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday held talks with Baptist World Alliance (BWA) President David Coffey.

Highlighting the importance of the BWA's role in spreading the values of peace and love in the Middle East, the King called on the alliance to play a bigger role in encouraging dialogue as a means of settling disputes in the region, mainly the Palestinian issue, as it is the core of conflicts in the region.

King Abdullah also stressed the importance of exerting all efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace which leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Coffey and members of the accompanying delegation commended King Abdullah's continued efforts to achieve peace and stability, affirming that the King represents the voice of true peace in the region.
