His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with Feisal Abdul-Rauf, Chairman of the Cordoba Initiative, which enhances ties between the Islamic world and the US, and Ingrid Mattson, Vice-President of the Islamic Society for North America.



During the meeting, the King said scholars of the Islamic Ummah should cooperate to find solutions to problems faced by the Islamic community, highlighting the important role they play in clarifying the true principles of Islam.



Abdul-Rauf and Mattson, who attended the International Islamic Conference in Amman earlier this week, thanked His Majesty for his efforts to defend Islam and stand up to the campaigns seeking to distort the image of the faith.
