Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania will start a several-day visit to Italy next Monday upon an invitation by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and his spouse.
During the visit, King Abdullah will hold talks in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and senior Italian officials on means to foster bilateral ties.
Talks will also cover efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, in addition to regional and international issues of mutual concern.
In Milan, King Abdullah will deliver a speech at the Jordanian-Italian Business Forum and will meet several businesspeople and representatives of the economic and commercial sectors in Italy.
