Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Monday visited residents at Al Zahraa Centre for the Elderly.
During the visit, the King and the Queen talked to senior citizens at the centre and were briefed on their needs.
An elderly woman told the King that her only wish was to get better and walk, and the King gave instructions for her to be sent to the King Hussein Medical Centre for treatment, so that she would be able to return home.
The King also promised to fulfil other residents' requests.
After touring the centre, which needs maintenance, the King issued directives for the facility to be renovated and provided with necessary equipment to enable it to carry out its mission.
The King also instructed that the centre be supplied with fuel for heating purposes at the expense of the Royal Court.
The Royal visit on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan also marked the International Day for the Elderly.
