King, Queen return from multi-country tour

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Sunday returned home after completing a tour that included Britain, the US, Norway and Sweden.

In London, King Abdullah held talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron on developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the need to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of a two-state solution.

During his visit to Washington, DC, the King discussed with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.

King Abdullah called for lifting the blockade on the coastal enclave and ending the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.

In Norway, the King met with King Harald V and discussed with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store the need to support efforts to bring about peace in the region. Talks also covered mechanisms to activate bilateral economic agreements.

On Saturday, the King and Queen attended the wedding of Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria in Stockholm.
