Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania returned Tuesday following a short visit to Syria upon an invitation by Syrian President Bashar Assad and his wife Asma Assad.

The Syrian leader and his spouse held an iftar banquet in honour of Their Majesties.

King Abdullah and Assad stressed their keenness to develop bilateral ties in different fields.

The two leaders also looked into regional and international issues of mutual concern.
