Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania returned home late last night following a several-day visit to United Kingdom.
King Abdullah held talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown focused on peace efforts in the Middle East.
The King stressed the need to intensify international efforts particularly, by American and European efforts, to overcome obstacles to resuming Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
During the visit, King Abdullah met Britain's Conservative Party leader, David Cameron, where efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict within a regional context topped the agenda of the meeting.
The King also delivered a speech at the Royal College for Defence Studies, in which he affirmed that peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis is an international necessity and a prerequisite for security and stability in the region.
