Their Majesties King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania left to Italy Monday on a several-day visit upon an invitation by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and his spouse.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, King Abdullah will hold talks with Napolitano, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and other officials on means to foster bilateral ties, efforts to achieve peace in the region, and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The King will also address the Jordanian-Italian Business Forum, to take place in Milan, and will meet with several businesspeople and representatives of the economic and commercial sectors in Italy.
Their Majesties are accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Zein bint Al Hussein, Her Royal Highness Princess Aisha bint Al Hussein, Senate President Zeid Rifai, Speaker of the Lower House Abdel Hadi Majali, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, King's Advisor Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Minister of Trade and Industry Amer Hadidi.
His Royal Highness Prince Ali was sworn in as Regent.
