Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Saturday hosted an iftar banquet in honour of Cabinet members and former ministers as well as Senate and Lower House members. Officials from the Judicial Council, the Royal Court and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff General Khaled Sarayreh as well as members of the Public Security Department, the Gendarmerie, the General Intelligence Department, the Civil Defence Department and Arab and Muslim diplomatic missions were also present at the banquet.

Students who achieved the best results in this year's Tawjihi exams and best performing students from Jordanian universities also attended the banquet, which was held at the King Hussein Ben Talal Convention Centre. The King performed maghreb prayers with the attendees.
