King, Queen begin official visit to Hungary

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Wednesday started a two-day official visit to Hungary.

During the visit, King Abdullah is scheduled to hold talks with Hungary's President Laszlo Solyom and Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany on means to enhance bilateral relations in various fields.

The two sides will also examine the latest regional developments in the political arena, with regard to the Middle East peace process and the situation in Iraq, in particular.

During the visit, the King will also visit Hungary's parliament (the House of the Nation).

To further boost bilateral economic relations, the two countries will sign an agreement on the promotion and the protection of joint investments during the Royal visit.

The visit is expected to foster economic ties between the two countries, increase the joint volume of commercial exchange and enhance the tourism sector.

Director of the King's Office Bassem Awadallah, Foreign Minister Abdul Ilah Khatib and Minister of Industry and Trade Salem Khazaaleh are accompanying the King on the visit.
