King & Queen Begin a European Tour

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah left Amman on Monday on a several-day European tour that will include Belgium, France and the United Kingdom.

His Majesty will hold talks with senior officials from the three countries on the situation in the Middle East, especially developments in the Palestinian lands as well as efforts that aim at resuming the peace process.

Their Majesties will meet in Brussels with His Majesty King Albert II and Her Majesty Queen Paula. King Abdullah will also meet with Secretary General of NATO Lord Robertson and the EU Foreign Policy Representative Javier Solana.

King Abdullah is also expected to meet in Strasburg in France with President of the European Parliament Pat kooks and Head of the European Commission Romano Prudi. The King will deliver an important speech at the European parliament in which he will outline the Jordanian and Arab vision for a final solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict based on International legitimacy and UN Security Council resolutions.
