His Majesty King Abdullah and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during a meeting in Baghdad on Saturday, discussed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples.
 
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, covered means of expanding cooperation between Jordan and Qatar, especially in the economic field.
 
Discussions also addressed efforts to reach political solutions to regional crises.
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni attended the meeting.
