His Majesty King Abdullah's planned trip to the West Bank on Sunday to push for the recently revived Arab Peace Initiative was postponed due to bad weather. King Abdullah was scheduled to travel by helicopter to Ramallah, but despite many attempts, the helicopter could not take off because of low-altitude clouds and poor visibility.
During a phone call later in the day, King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed political developments in the Palestinian territories, and discussed the rescheduling of the visit.
